id pull the battery and have it tested Unc...all it costs you is the time to pull it and have it tested. If its good you arent out anything and you have one more thing checked off your list.

as for the car show, We also have one on the 3rd sat. from 5-9 so as long as it dont interfeer with that one, some of us may show up.

sounds like the alt took a shit too me. after a car is started the alt should keep the car running even if you take the battery out of the car. if the alt quits then the car will run until the battery runs low enough too not fire the distributer anymore

Dead battery, car just dieing on ya, sounds like a bad alternator, like Doc said. You can take it and have it tested.

It's not very smart to do if you have a computer, because you can blow it or ruin the settings. But you can charge your battery up over night, next morning throw it in and start the car up. While it's running, loosen the negative terminal and take it off. If the car dies, it's the alternator. Runs crappy, then the alternator is starting to get bad. Runs fine, it's a connection or wire somewhere.

If you charge it and put it in the car, does it run down any over night just being hooked up? I suppose you could have a parasitic load somewhere running it down. Alternator is most likely, though.

Cool... Thanks everybody. When I get some time this weekend I'll pull the alternator and have it checked.
Just not enough time in the day for me. Working on the radio and being the webmaster for all 4 of our stations leaves me with enough time to shower, shit, shave and sometimes sleep. They work me like a dog.

I'll post back when I find something out.

Oh yeah, TheSebring no computer in this beast.
I've been charging the battery while in the car and it won't hold a charge.

Thanks again, everybody...
